Maurice Graham Henry on the best farm-to-table restaurants in
Arizona
We are pleased to be able to list three restaurants in Arizona, a state not usually
associated with outstanding dining. Quiessence, located just outside of
Phoenix on the Farm on South Mountain property , serves contemporary
American cuisine. Kai, the signature restaurant of the Sheraton Wild
Horse Pass Resort and Spa in Chandler (also near Phoenix), has much of the
food served there grown nearby in the Gila Bend Indian Community. Kai
also has the distinction of being among a handful of restaurants in the United States to hold
both the coveted Mobil 5-star award and the AAA 5-diamond restaurant award.
And FnB Restaurant, the Scottsdale Arizona gastropub, is winning acclaim not
only for its cooking but also for its all-Arizona wine list.
