Maurice Graham Henry on the best farm-to-table restaurants in
Arizona
We are pleased to be able to list three restaurants in Arizona, a state not usually
associated with outstanding dining. Quiessence, located on the Farm on South
Mountain property just outside of
Phoenix, features contemporary American cuisine. Kai, the signature
restaurant of the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa in Chandler (also
near Phoenix), has much of its
food grown nearby in the Gila Bend Indian Community. Kai also has the
distinction of being among a handful of restaurants in the USA to hold
both the coveted Forbes (formerly Mobil) 5-star award and the AAA 5-diamond
restaurant award. Our third restaurant listed, the Scottsdale Arizona gastropub
FnB, is winning acclaim for its all-Arizona wine list as well as for its
cooking.
